Staff

The Institute currently employs a full-time Director, a part-time Associate Director and a part-time Administrator. It is our intention to expand this staff as resources permit. Volunteer opportunities may also be available.

Dr Jonathan Chaplin - Director


Dr. Jonathan Chaplin
became the first Director of the new Institute in September 2006. A specialist in Christian political thought, Jonathan returned to the UK after seven years at the Institute for Christian Studies, a graduate school in Toronto, Canada. More...

His current research interests include:

• contemporary political theology
• the role of faith in public life
• religion and political liberalism
• cultural pluralism and civil society.

Dr. Joshua Hordern - Associate Director

Joshua Hordern was appointed as the first KLICE Associate Director in September 2010. His work covers the Public Leadership Programme and development activity. Joshua was a KLICE doctoral grantee from 2007-9. He holds a Junior Research Fellowship in 2009-2012 at Wolfson College, Cambridge, and has completed a PhD in political theology at the University of Edinburgh under the supervision of Professor Oliver O'Donovan.
