  • Jonathan Chaplin writes on multiculturalism for the first monthly 'KLICE Comment'.
  • Audio and video recordings of 'Sustainability in Crisis' conference session are now available from the Faraday Institute website.
  • 300 attended a public discussion on 'Is There a Future for Multiculturalism?', at London School of Economics. The event marked the publication of the latest Theos report, by Jonathan Chaplin, entitled Multiculturalism: A Christian Retrieval, and was organised by Theos in association with the LSE Forum on Religion.   • Jonathan Chaplin spoke on the theme of multiculturalism at St Luke's Anglican Church, Sevenoaks, on 7 October.
  • 15 postgraduate students participated in another lively KLICE Research Seminar, on 21 October. The visiting speaker was Professor David Ford (Cambridge), who gave a talk on 'Scriptural Reasoning'.
  • A seminar on medical ethics was held on October 24 at Tyndale House. Senior medical oncologist Dr Jim Rusthoven, from Canada, gave a lecture on 'Appeals to Covenant as the Basis for a Bioethical Framework', and Professor John Wyatt led a discussion.
  • Senior veterinary specialist Dr David Williams (St John's College, Cambridge) spoke at a lunchtime seminar on 'Animals and God's Plan for the World', October 25 at Tyndale House.
  • Jonathan Chaplin gave the annual Ashe Lecture, on 'Britain and the Book: How the Bible has Shaped British society', at St Helen's Anglican Church, Ashby de la Zouch,October 27.
  • Jonathan Chaplin gave a paper on 'Christian Theories of Democracy' at a conference on 'The Modern State and the Kingdom of God', Las Casas Institute, Blackfriars Hall, Oxford, October 29. Former Advisory Council chair Professor Julian Rivers also spoke on 'The Rule of Law'.
